Aiming for a Successful Ofsted Inspection: An interactive, online workshop delivered by Birmingham City Council Early Years & Childcare Service
This interactive workshop is designed to support early years providers, schools and childminders to prepare confidently for Ofsted inspection under the renewed inspection framework.
Drawing on the latest Early Years Inspection Toolkit and EYFS statutory requirements, the session will help providers understand what inspectors are looking for and how to demonstrate the quality of their everyday practice.
During the workshop, you will:
Explore the key statutory and non-statutory guidance that underpins inspection and continuous improvement.
Understand the new inspection approach, including report cards, evaluation areas and the inspection process.
Consider what inspectors look for across the seven evaluation areas, including safeguarding, inclusion, curriculum and teaching, achievement, children's welfare and wellbeing, and leadership and governance.
Gain practical strategies to prepare for notification calls, shared observations and inspection-day discussions.
Explore how effective self-evaluation can drive continuous improvement and support inspection readiness.
Reflect on strengths within your provision and identify practical next steps to strengthen outcomes for children and families.
The workshop includes opportunities for discussion, reflection and sharing practice with colleagues, helping you to leave with greater confidence in articulating the quality and impact of your provision.
