Our offer is available to all early years educators across Birmingham. The universal offer is fully open‑access, while enhanced and bespoke support is accessed through a setting‑led request process.

Strengthening provision and practice in priority areas through project‑based learning
Providing opportunities for self-selected projects fosters a culture of professional agency, where commitment, meaningful engagement and motivation naturally flourish
Project focussed professional development, and in setting support from our Early Education Advisor team for implementation, to enhance curriculum and pedagogy at individual and setting level
By working collaboratively across districts, early years educators and settings also benefit from wider professional dialogue, shared expertise, and strengthened support networks
Our bespoke support is designed around our evidence-informed Language Learning Reflection and Planning Tool [link to tool to be added], which can be used with, and by leaders, managers and practitioners.
The tool supports meaningful reflection and self-evaluation, helping leaders and practitioners identify and celebrate strengths as well as prioritise areas for development across three key areas:
