This EYC-led District Surgery provides a safe space for providers to:
Explore how they can contribute to Birmingham’s Best Start in Life ambitions by working in partnership with families to strengthen the Home Learning Environment
Discuss practical ways to promote children’s communication and language development and support school readiness through the prime areas of learning
Explore approaches to supporting families facing additional challenges, including those living in temporary accommodation
Learn from colleagues across the Early Years and Childcare Service (EYC for Speech, Language and Communication), Family Hubs and Home Learning Environment teams, who will share practical strategies, resources and advice to support children and their families.
Connect and network with other providers and Local Authority Early Years Consultant(s)
This is an online session for those working within the South Cluster Districts (Edgbaston, Hall Green & Moseley, Northfield, and Selly Oak).
