Webinar Wednesday Recordings

Webinar Wednesday is our year‑round series of online professional learning sessions designed to connect Birmingham’s early years community through shared themes, practical strategies and sector expertise.

Each 1‑hour webinar is led by our Early Education Advisor Team with partners and guest speakers, offering focused CPD that fits into busy schedules.

Webinar Wednesday runs across the academic year and is organised into five themed strands:

  • Early Years Essentials

  • Language Learning Reflection & Planning Tool

  • The Magic of Books

  • Transition Toolkit

  • WellComm in Practice

This allows practitioners to join the full programme or follow the sessions most relevant to their area of interest. All webinars are recorded and shared on our YouTube channel so you can revisit content or catch up whenever it suits you.

Below you will find the latest webinar from each theme - to find older recordings, please visit our YouTube channel.

WellComm in Practice

You’ve got the pack, you’ve started a screening, but what next? How can you get the most out of WellComm whilst making it work for you and your setting?

Our ‘WellComm in Practice’ sessions offer real, practical advice and the sharing of ideas, supported by the Birmingham Speech and Language Therapy team and Early Years Consultants.

Latest Session: Implementing WellComm in Practice (9/9/26)

Understand how to implement WellComm confidently in your setting, explore the ‘Big Book of Ideas’, and consider effective ways to work with parents.

Practitioners can share learning, discuss approaches, and share FAQs to support confident, consistent use across settings.
